Continued edits
[edit]This article should be expanded or improved with continued edits. I am not sure on the lede photo. The photo is the same as the one in the biography. I looked for others on Wikipedia commons, but I could not find one, other then this one, where he is General of the Armed Forces. Cmguy777 (talk) 03:57, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Brigadier General versus Colonel
[edit]Was Grant promoted to Brigadier General after his promotion to Colonel? What is the difference? Cmguy777 (talk) 06:40, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yes to the first part. Are you asking the differences between the ranks or the difference between regular troops and the volunteers?

- Yes to both. What was the difference between volunteer troops and ranks and regular troops and ranks? Cmguy777 (talk) 15:47, 13 September 2011 (UTC)
Individual battles
[edit]Would this article improve by having individual battles segments rather then lumping the battles together? Cmguy777 (talk) 05:59, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
Areas of improvement
[edit]Are there any areas of improvement that this article needs? What is the overall assessment of this article? Any areas of concern? Cmguy777 (talk) 19:25, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
- I plan on adding information on West Point, the Mexican American War, service during Reconstruction, and Grant's reinstatement into the U.S. Military to receive pention. Cmguy777 (talk) 03:23, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
Where facts in the article are supported by references to histories written by Edward Bonekemper, the same should be reviewed in order to determine the primary source and the veracity of the same. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cwburton1980 (talk • contribs) 03:25, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Somebody has been tampering with this article. The first paragraph calls Grant a "weirdo" and a "total jerk."Alostlady (talk) 01:50, 12 October 2014 (UTC)
Outside opinion
[edit]At the Ulysses S. Grant main article two editors want to include mention of President Grant signing an act establishing national holidays and two editors oppose. Opinions for and against are numerous and can be found at Talk:Ulysses S. Grant. Outside opinions are needed and welcomed. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 20:56, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
