[edit]Removed. This is random conjecture. There is nothing that would lead one to believe that the comic is referencing the movie, other than your opinion.
- Captain America makes a note when facing off against Wolverine, telling him about how they worked together in WWII. He even brings up his real name: James "Lucky Jim" Howlett. This brings to mind the scene in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Alan Quartermain says that he met Dorian Grey in school. Mina Harker assumed that Dorian was "the eager young boy" and Alan was giving a lecture, but it was the other way around.
