Violation of WP:COI
Everybody is invited to read corporate-self-advertisement and WP:COI/N. --Dr. Who 12:51, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Very interesting. Unfortunately it's also has no relevance whatsoever to this article or discussion. --Gene_poole 11:58, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
First attempt at a rewrite
Because of the controversy and high emotions surrounding the AfD here, especially considering the original bad-faith notice may very well have been issued by a sockpuppet, and the increasing volume of the (minority) deletion supporters, I present this rewrite for consideration.
I have no connection with the program other than as a listener.
OK, so it's mostly a re-jumbling of the text, with added links. The original article is so factual and informative that, apart from rewriting it in Shakespearian pentameter, or Wordsworthian blank verse, I can't really see any alternative.
Don't like it? Rewrite it. Happy editing! Gardener of Geda | Message Me.... 19:05, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've made some further tweaks to your edit. I think this is a good start, though I think we should get rid of the four seemingly random items in the Notes section (they were formally "References", but I combined the two sections... but they aren't actually used references, so they could go). - A (perfunctory) Google-search doesn't turn up anything on the last 3 items:
- Frank Joseph. "In the chillzone", Fine Music, May 1, 2005 (a radio show, I believe).
- "Ambient anniversary on the airwaves", The Northern Herald, July 6, 1997.
- Marius Webb. "Ultima Thule", The Sydney Morning Herald Guide, January 29, 1996.
- . . . but that doesn't prove they don't exist. According to the holy tenets of good faith (praise its name; yes), I'm sure they do. Gardener of Geda | Message Me.... 20:03, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- A (perfunctory) Google-search doesn't turn up anything on the last 3 items:
- Good work with the rewriting guys. Concerning the references above, you can see scans of the original articles on the UT site. I was intending to cite these (along with the Ambient Visions interview) in support of various statements in the article relating to the origins of the show, and of its content - but perhaps one of you should do that instead. --Gene_poole 02:36, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Done. "References" section added again. Gardener of Geda | Message Me.... 13:51, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
