Sub-sections Required
[edit]This wiki-page needs a "development" section urgently. You can amend this by following http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/2013/06/05/ under "#ubuntu-tv.txt", for example (change the date accordingly). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Linuxchatter (talk • contribs) 23:58, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
In a blog by @jonobacon : The blog : Ubuntu In 2014 , clearly states this is not part of the overall guiding development scheme of 2014. http://www.jonobacon.org/2014/01/02/ubuntu-in-2014/#comment-1184768582 ) (Note about this takes 16 seconds to load). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Linuxchatter (talk • contribs) 19:27, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
Vaporware or not?
[edit]An anon added the idea and a link to the article, vaporware, on August 8. Several editors have removed it indicating various negative things about the statement, but never refuting the claim that it's vaporware. I don't mean to edit war over it, but to argue that it's anything but vaporware after more than two years of development is farcical. It didn't take http://www.mythbuntu.org/ that long to come out with a public version. Similarly, specific variants of Ubuntu for specific versions didn't take that long to gel. So http://www.ubuntu.com/tv is clearly vaporware until it shows 1) signs that it is still in active development or 2) it's released to the public or embedded in a product. I plan to restore it if someone doesn't have a solid answer. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:51, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- I would say that to label this vaporware you will need to cite a third party source that supports that claim. - Ahunt (talk) 17:47, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- I was wondering how long it would take to have the RS argument. No one cares about the project which is why no one has written about it and why it hasn't been released. I'll add a statement at the end of the lede instead. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:12, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Sure that looks fine. - Ahunt (talk) 19:42, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

The last commit to its dev repository was in 2011: https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntutv-dev-team/ubuntutv/trunk/files I replaced the content here with a redirect to the main Ubuntu article. Should this project ever get out of vaporware status, my edit can be reverted and the article updates. Until then it makes no sense to have a dedicated article. That also follows WP:PRODUCT (“If a non-notable product or service has its own article, be bold and merge the article into an article with a broader scope”). --KAMiKAZOW (talk) 05:09, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Dash searches
[edit]Canonical has confirmed that they taking out the Amazon-in-Dash [[1]] for Xenial Xerus, 16.04 LTS. Yselnne (talk) 12:26, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
- This isn't relevant to this article and has already been added to the correct article, List of Ubuntu releases. - Ahunt (talk) 20:23, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
