[edit]

UT Football is understood to mean University of Tennessee (at Knoxville) Football.

U. Tennessee has held UT Football since 1891[1] U. Texas Football has only been around since 1894, three years after Tennessee assumed the title. 66.253.191.171 (talk) 15:37, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I respectfully disagree. Merely being established first isn't enough to own the article space forever. Texas football has been far more successful than Tennessee football. This article has stood for almost three years as a redirect to Texas football, I think it should either continue as such, or perhaps become a disambig page. Actually, now that I think about it this really should be a disambig page. What do you think? When I get time, I'll put one up. Dayewalker (talk) 18:29, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That works. I disagree that Texas football's more successful, this season sure, but not overall. Even not recently, since last season Tennessee lost the SEC Championship to LSU, the BCS winner of the season.

But yes, they're both Div. I teams, so disambig would make sense. 66.253.191.171 (talk) 03:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
