adding to DD-214 USS Tracy article
[edit]In 1933 my father, Lt. Cmdr. W.W. Feineman took command of the US Tracy undergoing a refit in the Philadelphia shipyards. When completed, it sailed to San Diego CA. It went on manuvers with the fleet. I went to sea, as a guest, on one night manuvers, and found out that destroyers go through waves, seldom over them.
This continued until he was transferred in 1937 to the USS Arizona located in Long Beach Calif.
