Tom Waits Song
[edit]I suspect that Waits wrote about the aircraft carrier Ticonderoga, which he may have seen during his Coast Guard service in the late 60's or early 70's, and not the later guided missile cruiser. Since I don't know that for a fact, I will leave it up though. Seaphoto 16:42, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

She is still in Philadelphia; I was there today. Not sure what ship was delivered for scrapping. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:41:4003:B7F0:56:4659:19E0:A375 (talk) 19:57, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
Operation Dessert Shield
[edit]I believe someone left out the Tico being sent over to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Dessert Shield. 2600:1008:B1A6:5966:C4A7:9777:A71C:7707 (talk) 00:15, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
