Removal of death incident
This edit removed mention of an incident in which a crewmember died. I don't believe that the death of a ship's crewmember in peacetime is a "minor" incident. The ship's captain actually went to a mast over the incident and his career is proably over. I think this incident should be mentioned in the article. Cla68 (talk) 00:57, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Given the short amount of time the San Antonio has served, I think this accident is worth a mention. For a ship with a 20+ year career, a similar event would be non-notable for that ship. -Fnlayson (talk) 16:48, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
- There has been more fallout from this incident, so I'll be readding it with additional information and sources. Cla68 (talk) 23:59, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
No Radars, EW, etc.?
Why are no RADARs, processors, or electronic warfare listed for these LPD-17 ships? It appears to be part of the 'template' generally used for ship characteristics. It is not like these are unknown or secrets - one might see reference http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=lpd-17 144.183.224.2 (talk) 16:37, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Good catch. I just added them to the infobox based on a page I cited from fas.org. ~Amatulić (talk) 04:34, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
No mention of LSD use?
Adding in, as O'Rourke likes to use it. Hcobb (talk) 22:20, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Syrian Deployment
According to CNN, the USS San Antonio is now among several US Navy warships presently stationed off the coast of Syria [1] as part of the developing US response to the use of chemical weapons by the Assad regime. Should this deployment be added to the article? Orca1 9904 (talk) 12:50, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, once it actually does something like a lillypad TRAP. Hcobb (talk) 20:16, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
