[edit]DDG 78's namesake is listed as David Dixon Porter of civil war fame. This is true but it is also named for his father, David Porter (War of 1812 fame). I commissioned the ship and know this to be true.Kvsjr (talk) 01:57, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
