Shellfire or mine?
[edit]Our D-day article and the first link say she was sunk by a mine. What is the source for shellfire?--agr (talk) 12:35, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
First or second ship?
[edit]As of 6 June 2023 version, the article claims that it was the first and the second ship sunk during DD. Sources are also missing. YuKornilev (talk) 15:56, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
- this edit changed it without comment. I'm not sure if they had another source. The USN history site doesn't seem to note what ship sank first. This source says the ship may have been lost to a mine rather than shelling. This Interview of the Commanding officer on 12 July 1944 says he thought they were hit by gunfire. Neither mention if it was first. --Dual Freq (talk) 01:47, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
