[edit]This is a minor error, but I don't believe "Captain Jeremiah O'Brien USN" is an appropriate designation. O'Brien was commissioned a Captain in the Massachusetts Navy during the Revolutionary War and later commanded a privateer. The United States Navy didn't come into existence until 1797 when O'Brien was at least 53 years old. OldVato (talk) 20:17, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
A couple of days after I posted this, someone deleted the "USN" following Jeremiah O'Brien's name. This was the appropriate correction and I appreciate whoever made it.OldVato (talk) 21:47, 28 June 2015 (UTC)

[edit]I was on the USS O'Brien during this deployment, there were two rescues at sea, one in the Gulf of Thailand, forty refugees were taken to Pattaya Beach, Thailand May 2, 1984 and the second rescue was in the South China Sea, these refugees were taken to Singapore on May 25 1984. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mklandi (talk • contribs) 20:38, March 7, 2015
