May 24th news update

I tweaked the article with the following...

May 2012 fire

[edit]

At 5:41 p.m. EDT on 23 May 2012, fire crews were called with a report of a fire on the USS Miami while being overhauled at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. (ref: http://www.necn.com/05/23/12/Fire-reported-on-nuclear-powered-submari/landing_newengland.html?blockID=713110&feedID=4206 ). Seven injuries to firefighters have been reported by national media (ref: ABC's Good Morning America May 24, 2012). The four alarm fire was in the forward compartment of the boat and was extinguished. Several surrounding towns are on scene fighting the fire including Newington, Portsmouth, Eliot. Boston's Logan International Airport and Groton, Connecticut, fire fighters were also called in on scene. [1] - Brad Watson, Miami 71.196.11.183 (talk) 12:10, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to remove the part about Groton and Logan firefighters. It's not in the given sources and seems unlikely. Kendall-K1 (talk) 00:20, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fire in a vacuum

[edit]

Who says you can't have fire in a vacuum? The odd part (to me) is that the machine wasn't even plugged in at the time. Kendall-K1 (talk) 20:06, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
