Under the 'Loss' section it is stated: "For more detailed and original information about Gudgeon's likely sinking on 18 April 1944, see "Find 'Em Chase 'Em Sink 'Em: The Mysterious Loss of the WW II Submarine USS Gudgeon" and other "Ostlund" references below."

- It looks like this line has been present since November 2006, despite the references having been removed in March 2008. While book might be useful as a source, without any citations of its contents in the article it comes across as a bit of a promotional statement.
