It would help if "shakedown" were clarified for the average lay reader. See second paragraph use of shakedown. Plus the English language there is not right. It should say something like "After the initial 'shakedown' (a term commonly referred to as the break in period for newly seaworthy ships)."
Something like that. Anyone else have a comment about this? I do not know what a shakedown of a ship is, other than my assumption that it is the "break in" period. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daisykc (talk • contribs) 21:36, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
