Merger proposal
[edit]These three articles, USS Flamingo (AM-32), USC&GS Guide, and USS Viking (ARS-1), all describe three different names of the same ship. From my quick look, it seems that none of these really need a separate article. I am proposing that they all be merged into the Flamingo article primarily because that was the first name of the ship, and in my opinion, the notability of the service under the other names is not as high as that under Flamingo. — Bellhalla (talk) 14:01, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- I originally missed that the discussion was to be here, and had at first replied at WT:SHIPS. I support a merge; but my preference is to use the name the ship was last known under as the article name (ie: Viking). --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 18:49, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- That's OK, I'm watching both pages. It sounds like the consensus is to merge into USS Viking (ARS-1), so I'll change the merge templates to reflect that. — Bellhalla (talk) 19:53, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
