[edit]Falcon was built by Intermarine Shipbuilders of Savannah GA. LCDR Peter Fanta was the first Commanding Officer and LT Jeffrey Helfrich was the first Executive Officer. LT Andrew Tunnard was the first engineering officer, with LTJG Frank Feeney acting as operations officer and LTJG Brett Siweck as supply officer. The Chief of the Boat was ENC(SW) Timothy Paulus. Under LCDR Fanta, Falcon was commisioned in Port Arthur TX and then completed a rigorous testing cycle of the ship's sonar array as well as conducting simulated mine hunting operations off the Florida coastline. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.101.203.226 (talk) 05:07, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
