[edit]I don't know if you have access to the NYT (I don't have a subscription), but there are some articles here that may reference Point Ledge. Might be worth checking out if you can, or can find someone with a subscription. Parsecboy (talk) 15:41, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- No access to NYT, but thank you for the suggestion. Point Ledge is not a very important player in the whole scheme of things, but my dream was to finish articles on the Point class cutter series. The ones I was really interested in are the 26 cutters of the class that served in Vietnam with Coast Guard Squadron One. Cheers Cuprum17 (talk) 16:03, 21 June 2012 (UTC)
- I think User:The ed17 might have access to the NYT archives. I think he's helped me in the past with it - you might try asking him about it, though I know he's rather busy lately since he took over as the editor of the Signpost.
- That sounds like an excellent project, and the squadron article is looking pretty good. I've done a bit of reading on the Navy and Coast Guard in Vietnam (Operation Market Time and related things, mostly from Cutler's book and some others), but you appear to be much more versed in the material than I am. Nevertheless, I do have access to OSU's fairly extensive library (and the rest of Ohio's universities through OhioLink), so if you need help getting a book or article, let me know and I'll do what I can to help.
