Review

[edit]

Before starting this review, I left a message on the nominator's talk page regarding my concerns re: the neutrality of this article. I have reason to believe this article was heavily edited by COI editors and I commend Andrew nyr for taking the time to undo their work and make this a good article. Lead

[edit]
  • We really don't need three references for dedicated solely to the care of infants, children, teens and young adults well into their 20s and beyond. Generally, references in the lead should only be for controversial information.
  • Does the Pittsburgh region refer to the Greater Pittsburgh Region?

History

[edit]

Origins

[edit]
  • I think the history of this hospital sounds really interesting and could be expanded. Both references provide more in-depth information. Don't be afraid to re-use references or check out Newspapers.com.
    • Also, reference 15 offers more information for the origin section and should be utilized
  • The Main Tower... is unsourced
  • The world's' first simultaneous heart and liver organ transplant information comes out of nowhere. Maybe begin with the hiring of Dr. Thomas E. Starzl etc. or research conducted prior to the surgery.
  • Big time jump, what happened between 1984 and 2009? Any renovations, controversies?
    • See References section
  • Reference 20 and 22 are dead
  • Reference 21 only mention Helipad
  • Why is information about a movie from 2009 mentioned after the 2011 information?
  • UPMC Merger should maybe be within the "Former Oakland neighborhood facility" section
  • No mention of elevators in reference 29

New Hospital Campus

[edit]
  • Much needed information here, try and create paragraphs rather than one sentence
  • Families are now an elevator ride away from their children promotional

Awards

[edit]
  • Children's has been consistently ranked among the nation's top pediatric hospitals by US News since 1990. unsourced
  • As of 2020, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has placed nationally in all 10 ranked pediatric specialties on U.S. News and World Report and placed 8th overall on the honor roll. unsourced

Infobox hospital

[edit]

For type = Teaching, a specialty = Pediatrics or some other description should be used for this hospital.

You should use the URL template for the website = www.chp.edu

The parameters type:landmark and name=UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh should be used in the coordinate template.

The alt = and logo_alt = parameters should be included in the Infobox.

If the hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission, it should be used in the standards = parameter.

Coordinates

[edit]

Minor point, the coordinates of the entrance to the hospital vice the largest building should probably be used for such a large complex, e.g. 40.466333, -79.952838 would be better. This is the convention for other complexes of buildings. WP:HOS -- Talk to G Moore 14:18, 16 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request for rereview

[edit]

Dear @HickoryOughtShirt?4:, I think I have made all of the changes requested and per our discussion on your talk page, I request a second review. My goal is to work and work to get this page to GA, thanks! Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 18:31, 17 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew nyr, some additional comments.... HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 20:31, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New Hospital Campus

[edit]
  • Please merge the sentences Early demolition of buildings and While outpatients were seen at the new building since they are about the same year.
  • Is there nothing else that happened in 2011?

Awards

[edit]
  • There are three sentences beginning with 2009. Please try and merge them into a paragraph

Pediatric specialty rankings

[edit]
  • Please merge the 2020 and 2021 information into two sentences (like move the 2021 sentence up).
@HickoryOughtShirt?4: Done. Thanks, Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 22:04, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
