Adding table and other notes

[edit]

I add a table for the guest artist for the past opening ceremony.

Some of the sources are quite little eg 2015, have to get into spanish source to get some info. 2017 Andrea Bocelli info has been sparse. I have only been able to find info via beIN SPORTS france twitter.

I dont want to delete the text since its very useful info.

Of course I wish this page has more info, and am more than happy if you guys got something new.

Btw dont think the spotify version is from UEFA. I have a bit of background on classical music and the arrangement are different. --Drewallen12 (talk) 15:51, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Hymn" or "Anthem"?

[edit]

I'm fairly sure that the name for this in English is "UEFA Champions League Anthem". This is because the name in German is "UEFA Champions League Hymne", and the word "Hymne" translates as "Anthem" (see here). The tune is also known as "UEFA Champions League Hymne" in French, and "Hymne" also translates from French as "Anthem". Therefore, this article should be moved. – PeeJay 20:08, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics

[edit]

Can the lyrics be shown due to fair use?? Due to something else? Or shouldn't they be here? Kadellar (talk) 20:12, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

commercially released?

[edit]

There reads: The anthem has been released commercially in its original version on iTunes with the title of Champions League Theme.
Strangely, the UCL article's anthem section has this: The anthem has never been released commercially in its original version.
Which one is true? 82.141.126.28 (talk) 18:52, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lyrics

[edit]

Every time I've heard this song the ladt verse is repeated but I can't find any lyrics website citing the lyrics as such. Even the audio sample on this page has the last verse repeated. Should the lyrics be changed to fit this or kept as they are? Mn1548 (talk) 16:45, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

2022 final pre-recorded version

[edit]

@PeeJay: I don't think I can find a specific source for that, but there's plenty of amateur recordings (such as this one), confirming they used a standard pre-recorded version (as was the case in 2020 and 2021) as opposed to an instrumental version that was in use prior to 2020 (for example, in 2018). The use of a pre-recorded version of the anthem is not especially relevant. – PeeJay 13:55, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
