Largest city in the U.S. without an interstate highway?

[edit]

I thought the largest city in the U.S. not served by an interstate highway was Fresno, California. Doonhamer 21:05, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why listed in reverse?

[edit]

Historically the road developed from Virginia's Trader's Path, and colonization and development moved from east to west. Why does half this article refer to the road in reverse, with material cited from west (KY) to east (VA)? This seems counter-intuitive and counter-rational.Parkwells (talk) 19:59, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The parts of the article discussing the route in west to east order appears to be following a traffic engineering convention: This convention is more developed with the Interstate System, where mileposts and exit numbers increase as one goes east or north.
