2010 realignment
In 2010, a 1.6 mile long section of 41 was realigned inland away from some eroding cliffs near Keweenaw Bay. I think this would be a good addition. Here are some sources I found:
Are there any MDOT articles on the realignment itself and not just the MTU study? Chris857 (talk) 01:20, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- I did just find that "US-41 realignment, Keweenaw Bay : construction and motorist information, May-October 2010" exists, but it appears to be a map of the project held only in Lansing. Chris857 (talk) 01:29, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

June 2018 flooding
Should we add material about washouts of US 41 from the recent flooding? [1] Unfortunately, it seems like it would be a pretty short section. Chris857 (talk) 16:00, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- Actually, I'd say no unless the aftermath results in some change to the physical footprint of the highway. If MDOT reroutes it away from the current course, or if they were to built a significant new bridge to replace a culvert, then it would merit inclusion, but otherwise it's somewhat of a non-story in the history of the highway. Imzadi 1979 → 19:50, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- That seems to match how I was feeling. The only significant washouts and bridge destruction were for more minor roads. Chris857 (talk) 20:33, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
