City U.S. Route 14

[edit]

Can someone mention the former City U.S. Route 14 that existed in Wisconsin?

I just found a picture of the sign on Google Images.

Thank you for your suggestion. When you believe an article needs improvement, please feel free to make those changes. Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone can edit almost any article by simply following the edit this page link at the top.

Thank you for your reply. However, I know how to edit pages. I just don't want to make any changes that would be stupid or misconstrued as vandalism. Also, I don't know how to cite any sources in articles. That is why I don't make many changes.
If you could help, then that would be great.

WP:Be Bold and just do it. Have a source for your information, and just add it. The most common way to cite a source is very simple. At the end of the sentence(s) supported by the source, add the period. Then without entering a space, type out <ref>Your reference here.</ref>. Now, you can get fancy and use the citation templates or you can just enter the citation information by hand. (If the article normally uses the templates, some other editor at some point will likely convert your citation into a template so that the formatting matches.) If you want to use the same footnote multiple times, use <ref name="name">Your references here.</ref> the first time, and just <ref name="name"/> every other time. As long as the name matches, the footnote will be repeated as many times as needed. If several consecutive sentences all use the same source, you can put the footnote after the last one.
Please note though, that the various roadgeek websites are all typically self-published sources, which means we really should not use them as citations. In fact, we have to replace them in an article before it can be promoted to Good Article status, and they won't be accepted at all for Featured Article status. Unofficially, they're fine to use to get an article started, but eventually we have to remove the citations and convert them to external links. (See Category:GA-Class Michigan road transport articles, Category:A-Class Michigan road transport articles, or Category:FA-Class Michigan road transport articles to see what I mean since none of the Michigan articles at the higher class levels use Michigan Highways for more than an external link.)
