Reviewer: Yellow Evan (talk · contribs) 02:27, 23 April 2013 (UTC) Since we have so many GAN's, Ill review this one. YE Pacific Hurricane
- "Typhoon Nora was the third-most intense tropical cyclone on record." I'd mention it was tied for Ida. YE Pacific Hurricane
- Wording would be a bit awkward IMO to do that, clarified it later on. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- " ranking it as tied for the most-intense tropical cyclone on record at the time; however, this pressure has since been surpassed by two other typhoons." I'd change this to "At that time, it was tied for the most intense tropical cyclone on record; however, this pressure has since been surpassed by two other typhoons." The "ranking" seems weird to me IMO. YE Pacific Hurricane 02:27, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- Tweaked Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- " Later that day, aircraft reconnaissance revealed the system to have intensified into a tropical storm, at which time it was assigned the name Nora.[1]" link to Hurricane Hunters. YE Pacific Hurricane 02:27, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- Linked to Weather reconnaissance since it's the more accurate link for the WPac. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- "This intensity ranked Nora as the most-intense tropical cyclone on record in the world, alongside Typhoon Ida in 1958; however, in post-storm analysis, it was noted that since the dropsonde did not record a pressure at the storm's center, Nora was likely slightly stronger than indicated.[4]" I'd break these two sentences up, but that's just me. YE Pacific Hurricane
- Cut it off at the semi-colon. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- "As the storm neared landfall in China, two ships became stranded over the South China Sea and sent out distress signals.[12]" what are distress signals? YE Pacific Hurricane 02:27, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- Exactly what it sounds like, signals that indicate the ships are in need of help. :) Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- You wikilink PDF twice in the refs. YE Pacific Hurricane 02:28, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
- Five times actually, but I've never had an issue with this :P . Delinked for sake of not arguing. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
I believe that covers all the comments. Thanks for the review YE! Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
