Social Media Presence
[edit]Tyler has shown a penchant for using social media websites like Twitter to engage and interact with his fans, as well as other celebrities[1] . As of March 2012, he has accumulated over 18,000 tweets on his Twitter account and boasts well over 800,000 followers . His account has also been verified by Twitter, which is only done to “establish authenticity of well known accounts so users can trust that a legitimate source is authoring their Tweets”[2] . Tyler has gained notoriety for using social media to post comments and thoughts often construed as offensive or distasteful. In May 2011 he was criticized by the openly gay indie music duo Tegan and Sara in an open letter that accused Tyler of “misogynistic and homophobic ranting and raving” in his music and public comments[3] . He crassly responded to the duo with an inflammatory tweet two days later[4] . Tyler has also engaged in feuds with other celebrities through his Twitter account, notably Chris Brown[5] .

Change the 2025 release date of Chromakopia to TBA, as the 2025 release date is merely inferring from a pattern. There is no confirmation this release will follow the biyearly tradition and even seems to make hints at that not being the case, implied by the lyric "Who gives a f**k about tradition? Stop impressing the dead" in the teaser track ST. CHROMA. [1] OctopusProbably (talk) 00:13, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Why do this section even exist? Who cares and who's business is it? This section needs deleting. John arneVN (talk) 00:46, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not censored to satisfy your sensibilities. Tyler cares about it so much that he keeps discussing it through his songs and Wikipedia will continue reporting it. (CC) Tbhotch™ 19:20, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
the T in "The" in his name should be capitalized
[edit]It should be Tyler, The Creator with the T in "the" capitalized. His name in the page's title should be adjusted.

- I have edited the article text to reflect the capitalization, and I support the changing of the title. However, there are a substantial amount (around 300 I believe) of indirectly linked pages that will have to be edited so as to avoid WP:2R once the title change goes through. —Toothlesswalrus (talk) 03:53, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
