Songwriting by Jackie
[edit]In her Instagram and Twitter posts for a new song, “Behind My Eyes,” Evancho calls that the first song written and sung by her — yet I understood her to be the author of several songs on this album. https://x.com/jackieevancho/status/1695829861661540439?s=46&t=w3AIgsHtPmB0KY9p9xQIGQ
Any thoughts about this? Skysong263 (talk) 18:57, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed that too. It's just marketing. That's why we don't put dubious claims like that in this encyclopedia. Evancho's official bio on her website has various errors and exaggerations that have been repeated many times over the years. For example, it says that she sang "for the pope". That is not true. He was in Philadelphia at the same time that she was there (close to the same part of town), but there is no reason to believe that he heard her public performance. She was one of the performers at a concert during the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, which was part of a celebration of Pope Francis's visit to that city, but it is unlikely that he heard any part of that concert. Here's another: Evancho sang at two congressional prayer breakfasts. Her official bio says that they were only a couple of months apart, but in fact they were 14 months apart -- just a silly error. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:53, 27 August 2023 (UTC)
