Title

[edit]

If the piece is titled 12 New Etudes for Piano then I assume that the article should read "12 New Etudes for Piano" even if Wikipedia policy doesn't allow an article title to start with a numeral, that doesn't mean the article can't start with a numeral, does it? But "12" is "Twelve", isn't it? How would you pronounce it differently?—Jerome Kohl (talk) 06:42, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Is it titled 12 New…? Jones (1994), Kozinn (1988), Lewis (1990) call it Twelve …. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:54, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately the article doesn't cite or quote Bolcom. Hal Leonard uses "12" on the sheet music, and for some reason the wacky folks at Pulitzer.org use "12". Hyacinth (talk) 21:47, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently it's pronounced "/twɛlv/". Hyacinth (talk) 22:12, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Pronounced both ways?! How would you pronounce it if it happened to be written "XII New Etudes"?—Jerome Kohl (talk) 22:31, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
