Can I just rewrite this whole page? It's very light on detail, has no meaningful pictures, and contains factual errors. Shoes were *not* made in the home, they were made by cordwainers, one of the most populous professions of the pre-industrial eras. Amuckart (talk) 23:50, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
