What Turner was associated with this fort?
[edit]This article names Abner Turner, but the YouTube site cited claims Asa Turner. Abner Turner is an established figure of Clarke County. Did he have a second name Asa? He had no brother or son named Asa. I have seen many records for Abner, but never run across the name Asa (I wasn't looking for it). Is this a case of unrelated families laying claim to a local legend? Walter Turner 2003:E4:FF28:3460:FC52:F395:E4B5:36C4 (talk) 15:12, 3 December 2023 (UTC)
