Taxonomy

The taxon author citation for this species is often given as Wise, 1967 (in places like WikiSpecies, and even in Wise's own paper Collembola of Macquarie Island), but the original description clearly comes from Pacific Insects Monographs 23, which was published in 1970. I suspect the date is confusion between T. templei and T. mediantarctica, which was described in 1967 (Antarctic Research Series. Vol. 10). Wise & Kaj, 1970 (the author citation given by GBIF) is clearly wrong - those are his initials, not a secondary author. --Prosperosity (talk) 00:39, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
