Discussion about merging Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation into this article
[edit]As an FYI, there is a discussion about merging Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation into this article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation. See comments by Reywas92.–CaroleHenson (talk) 05:43, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- As a side comment, I could edit / reduce the content before merging, if that's the decided direction to go.–CaroleHenson (talk) 05:46, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
To be accurate, there is a discussion about deleting Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation for lack of notability at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation. -- Pemilligan (talk) 18:46, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
- Of course. I guess that is helpful in the event that someone missed the bright pink color and "Articles of deletion" from the link.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:11, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
As an FYI, I started Talk:Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation#Address issues to address the issues raised here in the event that the article is merged or becomes part of a larger topic (like Slavery at Virginia plantations or Slavery and the Virginia Randolphs). Any input is appreciated.–CaroleHenson (talk) 15:50, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]As mentioned at the top of the article, there was a decision made to merge Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation into this article per AFD discussion.
I have been working on the article to trim out that seemed to be overkill for an article about Tuckahoe. See Talk:Slavery at Tuckahoe plantation, if interested. I am happy to help build up the existing article content about the plantation for balance.
The current state of the article is this version. I am happy to take a stab at merging the articles (I have done a fair amount of that.) It's faster, easier, and clearer. And, we can always revert to make edits to get the article to a desired state. If anyone disagrees with that course, please let me know.–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:20, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
- It's done now.–CaroleHenson (talk) 01:36, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
