Live at the Roxy / Living Ornaments '78
[edit]Moved uncited/anecdotal info on this recording. If any of this can be verified by reliable sources it could go back into the article. Cheers, Ian Rose 15:41, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
- This show was in fact recorded at the "Rock Garden" in Covent Garden, London on 1st February 1978 not the Roxy. Three Tubeway Army gigs were recorded by the same 15 year old punk "Gary Hough" from Bolton, two of the three tapes have since been destroyed but the Rock Garden tape still survives on a Sharp cassette. The gig was taped on an old hand held sanyo cassette recorder. The bootleg albums labelled as being from the Roxy were produced by the Record Peddlar in Manchester in the early 80's after I traded the tape with them and they were actually manufactured if memory serves me right in France at a pressing plant as the price was dirt cheap. For those who have both copies the first was in a plain white cardboard sleeve rather than the subsequent re-pressing on glossy paper with the Tubeway Army black and white writing and stripes.
