NYT article

[edit]

Good source, particularly on the U.S. vs. China politics:

Natural Science

[edit]

The article states "first Chinese receiving the Nobel Prize in natural sciences", but other Chinese scientists have received the prize in Physics which is a natural science. --vossman (talk) 16:16, 8 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Vossman is right, so this needs to be corrected. For example, the article on Chen-Ning Yang says he was born to Chinese parents in mainland China in 1922, shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1957, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1964. Although he won the Nobel Prize while living and working in the United States, the only citizenship he had held up to that point was Chinese. I'll correct the lede to note that Tu Youyou was the first Chinese woman to win a Nobel Prize (in any category), arguably a more interesting fact anyway. 153.31.113.21 (talk) 19:23, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

More recent picture of the subject of article?

[edit]

The article starts with a photo of the subject of the article with her teacher in 1961. (a) Can we find a more recent picture? (b) as she is a Nobel prize winner in her own right can we find a photo of just her? thanks! mgaved (talk) 16:12, 12 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Background section awkward?

[edit]

The Background section needs to be integrated into Research, or at the very least moved to somewhere that would make more chronological sense. Sheephunt2000 (talk) 05:19, 6 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I think you've done a fantastic job flushing out the information you're going to use to draft your wiki article. I like that you've established corrections that need to be made to the document and have created specific subject sections with research points. It seems to be moving in a cohesive direction and you've focused on a variety of topics to cover. Good luck with the rest of your article! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adogra1 (talkcontribs) 04:34, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
