It seems the article is referring to different people under the same name. First, Tsuneo Tanaka 田中常雄 was appointed ambassador to the Philippines in 1988 [1], and did receive a Presidential Citation (not a Global Voluntary Service award--that is the name of his NPO) in 2010 (plus an even more important Order of the Golden Heart with the rank of Grand Cross (Maringal na Krus) in 2013 [2]). But as one can see in the photo of Tanaka here, he is not the same person who is the ecologist at Villefranche (see his photo here). Moreover, the Google Scholar page referenced seems to be referring to several different T. Tanakas. The ecologist's own list of articles only lists 35 [3]. It is also highly unlikely that a marine ecologist has published on leukemia and robotics. Michitaro (talk) 23:58, 20 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No proof has been offered that these different Tanakas are in fact the same person, so I have removed all references to the scientists, keeping references only to the diplomat. Michitaro (talk) 20:29, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
