Anyone familiar with Ethiopia will see there is an untold story here. Tsige was born & raised in Benishangul-Gumuz, one of the least developed parts of this Third-World country: she obviously had no advantages in life, & her climb to an Olympic medal must have been both a challenge & inspiring. (And then there is the matter of being a woman in a male-dominated society.)
