Private Enterprise journalism

I like how this article perfectly defines the paradigm upon which all modern media is based -- private enterprise. Capitalism. Free enterprise. Entrepreneurship.

This article proves what many of us have aserted: journalists are really just salesmen.

It's all about advertising. All articles in the media are written with an eye to how much advertising revenue they can generate. Can it raise ad rates? Can it generate more ad volume? There is no news; only ad revenue opportunities.

It kind of really shames journalism. At one time, there was integrity amongst journalists. Today, they are just salesmen.
