TR = Triumph Roadster ?

If I am correct in thinking that the letters TR stand for Triumph Roadster, ought not the 1800/2000 roadster to be included here as the first roadster produced by Standard-Triumph, and therefore the predecessor of the TRX and the whole TR line ? RGCorris (talk) 14:51, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The TR8 was introduced in 1978 or 1979 ?

I read: "Both the TR7 convertible and the premium V8 version, renamed the Triumph TR8, were introduced in 1979". But in the article on the TR8 I read: "By 1978 some 145 prototype cars were built with V8 engines (and usually automatic transmissions)". Then, which of the two dates is correct?

Prototypes are normally built and tested before the model is introduced to the public. The introduction was in 1979. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 13:05, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
