TR = Triumph Roadster ?
[edit]If I am correct in thinking that the letters TR stand for Triumph Roadster, ought not the 1800/2000 roadster to be included here as the first roadster produced by Standard-Triumph, and therefore the predecessor of the TRX and the whole TR line ? RGCorris (talk) 14:51, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
- Is there any evidence that the term "TR" was used for the 1800/2000 roadster? Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 19:12, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
The TR8 was introduced in 1978 or 1979 ?
[edit]I read: "Both the TR7 convertible and the premium V8 version, renamed the Triumph TR8, were introduced in 1979". But in the article on the TR8 I read: "By 1978 some 145 prototype cars were built with V8 engines (and usually automatic transmissions)". Then, which of the two dates is correct?
- Prototypes are normally built and tested before the model is introduced to the public. The introduction was in 1979. Sincerely, SamBlob (talk) 13:05, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
