Disproportionations
[edit]I am referring to this sentence in the Reaction section: "Trimethylborane reacts with diborane to disproportionate to form monomethyldiborane and dimethyldiborane: (CH3)BH2.BH3 and (CH3)2BH.BH3 ". In my opinion, this is not a (double) disproportionation. Actually, boron keeps its +3 oxidation state in all of the four substances involved, although assigning oxidation states to the elements present in substances as diboranes may pose some problems.Ekisbares (talk) 21:37, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
