The image on this page, labelled Trichodes-apiarius-03-fws.jpg, is actually of a Trichodes avearius The tip of the elytra should be black or dark blue in T.apiarius. In this image they are orange, which is only true for T.avearius

There are correct images of Trichodes apiarius that have been uploaded to Wikipedia, but I don't know how to access them.
