Merge suggestion

[edit]

I think the suggestion of merging this article is very bad, because the proposed destination is completely unsuitable, since it is a glossary about parts or features of a car, and this article is about a whole car. I think it would have been more helpful to slap a please expand this article tag on it rather than a merge tag. - Drstuey 09:37, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The proposed destination is now a Wiktionary and the term "Tribrid vehicle" could certainly be addrd there. However if this article is to be merged at all, it should go either into Hybrid vehicle or into Alternative propulsion --Theosch 18:48, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Tribids are now more and more important. Hybrid is very long. So it can have its own article. --Mac 12:11, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Technical definition is ludicrous

[edit]

Someone couldn't resist putting in a mention of the optional solar moonroof Prius, but that vehicle doesn't charge the main battery with solar, only assist powering the ventilation system. By the same rationale, putting a solar charger on the dash of a Ford Escape and plugging it into the cigarette lighter socket would suddenly turn it into a tribrid. (!? A tribrid upgrade for under $50!) Even if a hybrid had the cigarette lighter socket linked to the main battery (which to my knowledge no hybrids have yet but eventually may.), that still shouldn't be enough to make the vehicle a tribrid. Clearly the technical definition needs to be improved or else you could drawn these ludicrous conclusions about what a tribrid actually is or can be. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.254.84.93 (talk) 02:32, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
