episode list

[edit]

@Racheal Emilin: why is the episode list commented out? thanks --Jeremyb (talk) 17:50, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeremyb-phone: the series had yet to be released when I added it and there was insufficient cells filled in, so standard practice to hide it. I've added the titles now so it's showing. Racheal Emilin (talk) 01:15, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
ok, thanks, I didn't realize you were waiting for a column. --Jeremyb (talk) 01:24, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Systemic Racism

[edit]

"Ellis fights for his freedom while exposing systemic racism and corruption within the justice system."

It says that Ellis has exposed systemic racism. What is the source for that, other than Netflix' description of the series? I have spent hours now to find a source for that and it does not seem to exist.
Where exactly is systemic racism exposed in the series and is there any source that pinpoints the discovery of systemic racism in relation to Ellis and his trials?

The sources quoted here state the following:
Collider: "After a year of civil unrest pushing back against police violence and systemic racism"
CNN: "dealing...with systemic racism"
The Guardian: "The first few episodes detail the context and systemic racism which snagged Ellis in the Boston of the early 90s"
WSJ: no mentioning of racism or race
Boston.com: no mentioning of racism or race
So, only CNN and the Guardian link systemic racism to Ellis or the series "Trial 4", but only as something he has to face, not something that he exposes.

I would propose to erase the part in the middle and have this sentence instead:

"Ellis fights for his freedom while exposing corruption within the justice system."

I am not going to make that change, though. Don Fuerte (talk) 18:25, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
