Merging

[edit]

I think we should merge those two articles, why should there be an article with the cast member and an article with the characters of the series. --Rutherfordjigsaw 07:01, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I'm still detecting copyright problems with the episode summaries. This isn't rocket science, and most people manage to get it right. All we need is for someone familiar with the content to describe it in their own words. That means no copying from other sources like this one. We're trying to produce a free encyclopedia, and that means the words must either be our own or other free content. Stuff you copied off another website != free. --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 17:49, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DI North

[edit]

Why did DI North leave the series? Is this ever explained?

Unresolved conclusions

[edit]

I have been watching this series on DVD and, after seeing about half a dozen episodes, I notice a peculiar characteristic of the series.

At the end of each episode, at the conclusion of the trial of the prime suspect(s), either the wrong person is convicted, or the right person is acquitted, or there is some kind of ambiguity and lack of resolution.

My sense is that this is a deliberate feature of the series, intended by La Plante. It would be great if someone who knows the series better than I do could elaborate on this --- either on the Talk page or in the article itself.

What I would really like to see would be for La Plante herself to make a brief comment on the talk page. ---Dagme (talk) 03:36, 2 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unresolved conclusions

[edit]

I agree, I think the conclusions are unsatisfactory. I'm sure it is intentional, making the point that, at best, the judicial system is a blunt instrument.
