[edit]There appear to be multiple pages set up for the same person and they should all be combined.Shsilver 18:03, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes. Both of these articles are definately about the same scientist/author. I've met him at SF cons, and talked with him. Vorticity 00:44, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like a plan to me. Less work for Jae. Oh, wait, I wrote the expansive one that has the information... right...Jaerune 09:48, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Good to see someone besides me working on this article. Jaerune 14:37, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Von Neumann's War is out, I've read it and it was spectacular! I personally think it deserves its own page... but that's just me. Jaerune 00:58, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
I made the article a little more consistent in terms of representation - rather than have Doc Travis or Dr. Taylor, I used the term Taylor to have a consistent last name representation, as is convention (even Dr. Isaac Asimov is called Asimov). The Review section needs to be changed - does the person who wrote that section have any references? Thanks. Metlin 14:52, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
I have made more changes to the tone, however a lot of sections still need citations - where did he go to school, what are the "very large telescopes" that he is working on, is his name listed on these projects somewhere such as publications or other means etc. I do not mean to be skeptical, but an encyclopediac article needs references and citations. Metlin 18:22, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
There is another person by the name of Travis Taylor, an American football player. I moved the Travis Taylor page to the Travis L. Taylor page. Henceforth, please take note of the fact that Travis Taylor is a disambiguation page and place your links appropriately. Thank you. Metlin 16:28, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I did much of the work on this, but it's a rather hard-going road. Taylor hasn't released a lot of work, so it's very hard to find any information on him anywhere. What little I have is gleaned from his website and a few articles about him. I really can't remember where I got everything anymore. I'm half-tempted to ask Taylor himself, but I know that's contrary to the spirit of WikiPedia. I'll look around and see what I can find. This may take awhile. Jaerune 03:27, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Planetary Defense book section

Cleanup
[edit]I've just finished an extensive cleanup, fixing tone, formatting, organization, etc, and adding wikilinks. I think it's pretty clean now except that it needs lots of sourcing, but I suck at that so I'll leave it for others. I removed the cleanup and tone tags but left the one about sourcing. If anyone has questions about my edits, feel free to contact me. Thanks. -- edi (talk) 03:50, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Terminology
[edit]Currently, he is working on space propulsion techniques which he personally describes as "advanced".
- Advanced propulsion is technical jargon for spacecraft propulsion beyond classical chemical rocket technology.

Von Neumann's War
[edit]The section on Von Neumann's War refers to it as a new series, however it was published in 2006 and I can find no evidence that a sequel has even been discussed publicly.
Neighbourhood Watch Final Report, which was also published in 2006, is accurately described as a supplement to the actual novel rather than a continuation thereof.
Given that it's been a decade, and there is no visible indication that a sequel is planned, I suggest recasting the first sentence thus:
Released in July 2006, Von Neumann's War is not related to the Warp Speed and The Quantum Connection universe. 128.250.164.201 (talk) 03:34, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Reads like publicity blurbs
[edit]The descriptions of the books in the bibiliography read like publicity blurbs for the books, not like descriptions.
I would suggest cutting this back by deleting the descriptions, and keeping just a list of the books with the title, co-authors if any, date, and publisher. This would put it more in line with other author articles. (And while at it, add the missing books listed above) Comments? Michael-Zero (talk) 04:31, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

Survival of mankind
[edit]I was watching about the builders of Stonehenge and they said that the builders have vanished. Such as the Mayans, and probably other civilizations. My thoughts are that mankind is already going to survive, because I believe civilizations are already on other planets. I believe aliens 👽 have already saved mankind, by taking civilizations and placing them on other planets already 😳 2600:1700:E300:AFD0:3018:DCFE:1526:8684 (talk) 22:22, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

Why the animals are killed and withdraw all of blood, killed by destruction
[edit]The aliens are no longer to ate and live without creating blood. This is why aliens kill animals (and perhaps in the future Humans…)and need to empty blood from any type of animals… The planet with so many animals are the place (and humans) might be destroyed eventually by aliens…perhaps. 2601:183:4001:7FB0:85BE:C13A:B65A:9931 (talk) 03:52, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
