Purchase date

[edit]

Although the metnews reference gives 1998 as the purchase date, I went with 1997 because, not only does it match the Adweek contemporary date, it also matches the date given in the corporate 10-K reports (B&G went public in 2004 -- and should probably have an article). I kept the Metnews ref, though, since it gave the interim purchase history (along with other background). Floatjon (talk) 23:16, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Skyline Chili, Kroger and Trappey avalability

[edit]

Years ago I noticed that the sauce used by Skyline Chili was very much like Trappey's and that the bottles were identical, except for the labels. At that time the only place I could buy Trappey's was at Kroger Supermarkets. Then Skyline Chili replaced Trappey's on Kroger's shelves. When the label changed to Skyline the price doubled. I couldn't help but to notice that Skyline Chili and Kroger Supermarkets are both headquartered in Cincinnati, OH. It leaves me wondering if the two companies are working to force consumers to buy the more expensive Skyline labeled product? The disappearance of Trappey labeled product and the appearance of Skyline labeled product at an elevated price makes me wonder but maybe I may just be paranoid. Anyone know how this came to be?Corumplex (talk) 02:57, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

peppers

[edit]

Kind of surprised there's no mention of the peppers in vinegar [1] which used to be on every table at Steak and Shake. I burned my mouth many times putting those spicy suckers in my chili. Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 20:15, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
