Not new or expanded 5x.

- ... that fossilized ridges on the surface of Mars can preserve information about the past Martian climate?
- ALT1: ... that wind creates dunes and ripples on Earth, but a third type of aeolian bedform can be found on Mars?
- Comment: Created in my sandbox September 15, 2020, moved article October 28, 2020.
5x expanded by TimNMcN (talk). Self-nominated at 19:46, 28 October 2020 (UTC).
- * Article created 1 day ago, new enough, long enough, hook short and interesting, QPQ done, image used and proper. Passes hygiene check. Citation for the main hook is at #39 in the article. Main hook preferred. Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 07:18, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
- Jeromi Mikhael I think you meant to approve the DYK? (t · c) buidhe 10:29, 3 November 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry! Forgot to put the tick! Been immersed in exams lately, so forgot to check for DYKs. Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 23:58, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- Why is there no indication in the edit history that this was moved from userspace to mainspace? I am unable to confirm that this is a new article per DYK criteria. Yoninah (talk) 18:04, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: The nom says expanded. The nominator doesn't says its new. Regards, Jeromi Mikhael (marhata) 23:52, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Jeromi Mikhael: Then before expansion began, on December 21, 2018, the character count was 1026. As of November 4, 2020, the character count is 3287, just over a 3x expansion. Yoninah (talk) 00:17, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- I think the page creator stated that it was new when he nominated it because he created new text in his sandbox and pasted it over the existing Wikipedia page. But according to Rule A4, we calculate 5x expansion from the previously existing article. Yoninah (talk) 00:24, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
- The nominator is a student editor who has not edited in a week. The reviewer is also busy elsewhere. The article does not qualify as new or 5x expansion at this time. If it is improved to receive a GA, it can be re-nominated. Marking for closure as unsuccessful. Yoninah (talk) 15:15, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- My apologies, I've been preoccupied with other work. My mistake re:3x vs. 5x expansion, I believe I included the citations which was erroneous. Sorry! TimNMcN (talk) 20:12, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
