Accidental copy from source

[edit]

I accidentally copied in content from a source here and as soon as I saw it, within one minute, I removed it here. I saw that there was a hit as a potential copyright violation after that. On the copypatrol tool, I marked that the issue was fixed.–CaroleHenson (talk) 04:37, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DanCherek, Thanks so much for hiding the problem version. I really appreciate it!–CaroleHenson (talk) 00:07, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, no problem. Good work on the article. DanCherek (talk) 01:06, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Next steps

[edit]

Buidhe Hello. Thanks so much for all your chock-full of information content that you added last night! Looks great!

fFirst thing, I think the article is about ready to move into article space. Are you good with the title?

Second thing, I am confused by the non-RS tag for "Koldichevo Concentration Camp". Jewish Virtual Library, American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise. Retrieved 2023-04-20. added here.

Per this page,

The Jewish Virtual Library is the most comprehensive online Jewish encyclopedia in the world, covering everything from anti-Semitism to Zionism. There are more than 16,000 articles and 7,000 photographs and maps that have been integrated into the site. The Library has 13 wings: History, Women, The Holocaust, Travel, Israel & the United States, Maps, Politics, Biography, Israel, Religion, Judaic Treasures of the Library of Congress, Vital Statistics and References. Each of these has numerous subcategories. The Politics wing includes collections on U.S.-Israel relations, the United Nations and the peace process. The Reference section has bibliographies of more than 1,000 books and 1,000 web sites, and a glossary of more than 1,000 words and a time-line for the history of Judaism.

I googled: distance Koldichevo camp to Baranavichy ghetto - which resulted in 10, 11, and 16 miles distance.

I don't know exactly where the ghetto and camp were located, but google maps says it's about 18 kilometres (11 miles) from the center of each city. How would you like to proceed?–CaroleHenson (talk) 13:36, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Since google maps says 18 km / 11 miles, I am just going to add google maps as a source.–CaroleHenson (talk) 13:42, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
look at the previous RSN discussions on Jewish Virtual Library; it's complete garbage. I would not cite Google Maps either. Why does the exact distance matter? (t · c) buidhe 14:26, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I like having distance / geographical information - very much a map person. So, I think that there might be other people like me. It truly is more of a "nice to have" not a "need to have" scenario, though. I removed it.
Since you've not said anything about the title, I am just going to move it to article space without tweaking the name. It can always be moved again if you like.
I will absolutely look at the RSN discussions about JVL - I have used them in several articles. And, particularly where there is differing info that is addressed in a note.–CaroleHenson (talk) 15:12, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wow! The JVL discussions at RSN are really clear. Thanks for the heads up on that! I will go make edits to recent articles about Jews.–CaroleHenson (talk) 15:17, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
