TLOC is caused by Syncope while Syncope refers to losing consciousness? So losing consciousness is caused by losing consciousness? 77.77.223.48 (talk) 17:13, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Syncope is one form of TLOC, specifically when consciousness is lost as a result of decreased blood flow to the brain. When consciousness is lost for some other reason, it is not syncope (but may or may not be TLOC—if it does not resolve spontaneously it is not TLOC).
