Orientation
[edit]Er, correct me if I'm confused, but to me "eastbound" means "going east" and vice-versa, so ">>" should be captioned as "eastbound" rather than "westbound". The arrows are pointing in the right direction, the caption isn't, so I'm just going to correct it. -- Arwel (talk) 11:18, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Quite right. It was a typo/braino (since fixed) on the TAFF site's index of winners, from which the entry's list was evidently copied! DeafMan 12:11, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
Bad links
[edit]I'm pointing this out rather than attempting to correct it, since I'm uncertain of the appropriate Wikiprocedure. The article's Bill Bowers, Don Ford and Peter Roberts links go to entries for people who are not the TAFF-winning sf fans. --DeafMan 10:52, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've updated the links, assuming that they were all most notable as fanzine editors. If they are notable enough then a page should be created for each of them. VJDocherty 17:00, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Also, the link to James Bacon points to an entry for a different James Bacon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.66.32 (talk) 21:59, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
List order?
[edit]The order of the list is alphabetical by surname. Most other fan awards lists are by date. Should we update the list accordingly? VJDocherty 17:01, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Seems a sensible thing to do. Be bold! -- Arwel (talk) 17:12, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok done! I think it looks a lot better. Hope others do also. VJDocherty 17:16, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. As far as I can see, the only reason for the alphabetical order was that the list was copied wholesale from the TAFF site's subsidiary list-by-surname here rather than from the big chronological list here. --DeafMan 14:55, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Non US/UK TAFF Visits & Country of Origin
[edit]It might be nice to show the country of origin for each TAFF delegate and which country the visited if it wasn't the US or UK.Shsilver 22:07, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Links and fan articles
[edit]I've updated the list of winners again, removing and correcting links. I notice that some names who probably *should* have an article about them - Bob Madle for instance - don't yet. Perhaps someone sufficiently knowledgeable can start creating them? VJDocherty (talk) 12:30, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- We are those very someones, Vince. All the fen here have been working on this, but it's a slow process. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:46, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Full disclosure of possible COI
[edit]I have edited this article a few times. It occurs to me that I should disclose that I have been an unsuccessful TAFF nominee in the past; and that I am again a nominee this year. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:01, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
- I have just been notified that I am in fact the 2020 TAFF delegate. I am slated to attend the Swedish national SF convention (Swecon) in Stockholm, and eventually make my way to the 2020 Eastercon, Concentric, in Birmingham. --Orange Mike | Talk 11:32, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
- Congratulations! :-) A worthy winner. I've added your name to the list of winners (waiting, for the sake of WP:V, until taff.org.uk was updated). --bonadea contributions talk 13:01, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
- And now my trip has been postponed and postponed again, so I've updated the article, but mentioned my COI in my edit summary and now here on the talk page. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:42, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- My 2020 trip finally begins on the 5th of April, 2022. Cons and/or clubs in Luxembourg, Poland, England, Sweden, Denmark, probably Scotland are in the mix. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:01, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
