Tramways for trams might need to be discussed seperately from Trams

[edit]

"Tram" would refer to the name of the train on the track. "Tramway" would indicate the track itself. I think both should be seperate topics.--Will 05:46, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the United Kingdom a tramway is a precise term in law Should this not say which law is cited? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.202.132 (talk) 13:40, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See Tramways Act 1870 Chevin (talk) 08:25, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm confused:

The intro of tram says "not to be confused with tramway (disambiguation)" (ie, this article) and this tramway disambiguation starts with "A tramway may refer to ..." with a link to tram (not even a redirect).

So, what about trams and tramways? How can I not confuse these two, if wikipedia itself confuses at least its redirects related to them. Can someone please clarify and tidy up these links and redirects? Thanks — Tauriel-1 () 14:40, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
