Is there one in Utah ? It's not listed.76.113.106.231 (talk) 22:22, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just added it to the list.--Found5dollar (talk) 01:18, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ontario

[edit]

The lead paragraph mentions a statue in Ontario, but nothing is listed for Ontario. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.154.37.176 (talk) 02:45, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That refers to the physical characteristics, especially facial features, of the local tribe or tribes.--Found5dollar (talk) 21:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I have revised the article accordingly. -- Wavelength (talk) 02:01, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have photo

[edit]

I am relatively new to Wikipedia; however, my husband has a photo of Wacinton, who is in Bob Noble Park in Paducah, Ky. He's more than happy to upload it and release it into the public domain, but I'm not certain (1) how to upload the photo and (2) how to ensure it goes into the right box in the chart. Please advise.

Cheers, Ivonne Miss Ivonne (talk) 14:54, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be glad to help you upload the picture, but I have concerns about copyright issues. In the United States the artist, in this case Tosh, owns the rights to photographs of his work. Put another way, there really should be no pictures of his work here without his permission or without including some rational as to why the copyright laws do not apply. I think that I am going to try and contact Tosh and ask him if it's okay to use pictures of his work, few artists have a problem if they can be reached. Feel free to contact me about how to upload and if you put something, anything on your user page then your name will appear in blue instead of red and some folks will give you more respect. It's a wikipedia thing. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:24, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photos of all Whispering Giants

[edit]

Peter Toth is a friend of mine. He has seen this entry and would like to add pics of all the whispering giants that he has. I am in the process of scanning the photos he has. I am not familiar with wikipedia format. Would appreciate any help getting these pics posted appropriately. Please advise. Thanks in advance. 2015 update recommending site now leads to spammy unrelated content

[edit]

A prominent note in The Sculptures section disavows accuracy of the page's sculpture status listings, and recommends readers go to "a traveler" non-authoritative website -- which now displays unrelated spam and nothing about Toth. I suggest deleting the 2015 note from the main content entirely, along with citation. The note: "(Update February 2, 2015) The Trail of the Whispering Giants is an ongoing project and much of the material here especially the chart below is out of date and too extensive to edit fully this article. A traveler, David Schumaker, went on a quest to identify all the Whispering Giant statues and has documented 57 existing statues and identified 12 that are now missing or destroyed since Peter Wolf Toth began this project in 1972. Schumaker has documented his information on the WEB site Peter Wolf Toth which has the most current information on the Whispering Giants and messages from the artist himself."
