[edit]Something doesn't jive here, since it's stated that the building is 60m & the tallest at it's time, yet got succeeded as the tallest in the whole British Commonweath by the 53m Dominion Building? That-Vela-Fella (talk) 18:13, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
- There is definitely a problem here. The tall building list can be sourced to The Canadian Encyclopedia article on skyscrapers. Specifically it states that "it was the challenge of building the tallest building in the British Empire, however, that set off a cross-country chase for the clouds. The 15-storey Traders Bank of Canada on Yonge Street in Toronto, built in 1905, opened Toronto's bid for the hotly disputed title. The 13-storey, 45 metre (148 foot) Dominion Building, completed in 1910, moved the crown from Toronto to Vancouver." The one piece of info the encyclopedia does not back-up is the Trader's Building being 60m tall. I can't find any reference for it being that tall, and it very well could be shorter than 45m. - SimonP (talk) 01:41, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
